Lorelle Bell is a seasoned communicator and storied content creator.
She has a deep commitment to Africa and people of global majority contexts. Her work has included communication services to the Integrated Serviced Land Project, national and provincial government departments, corporates and NGOs; and she has been a communications executive for a global shipping company, NGOs and an academic institution. This has included directing strategic communications, reputational management including high-level crisis communication, internal and external communication campaigns, and brand development and rollout in complex corporate, organisational and community contexts.
She has written for many publications including Sunday Times, Business Day and Mail & Guardian and South African state-owned enterprises, PRASA and SANRAL, copyedited technical reports for the African Unions’ Centre for Disease Control and Prevention and UNESCO campaign scripts, and edited newsletters for Catalyst 2030 and a South African feminist social justice coach.
She is particularly skilled at turning complex ideas and subjects into readable pieces for popular consumption.
